ABOUT THE 9-MONTH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
For over 20 years, I have been supporting spiritual and religious practitioners, teachers/leaders, and communities to heal, grow, and thrive. Through the research and publication of four books on these subjects, over two decades of clinical experience as a psychotherapist, teaching extensively on these subjects, and integrating reader, student, and client feedback, there are deep and overarching themes and discernments that arise that are applicable to teachers and practitioners across a variety of religious, spiritual, and psychological traditions. This mentorship program is designed to teach, mentor, supervise, and “pass on the mantle” of this work to a small group of professionals who can become part of my personal referral network. Participants will emerge with knowledge, methods, protocols, and tools that can be integrated into their spiritual and religious communities, professional offerings, and personal practice in order to work skillfully and effectively in these areas.
(1) 2-hour instruction with both groups once/month
(1) 2-hour supervision and inquiry group/month with cohort;
(1) 1-hour peer-mentoring call/month – time arranged by participants
(2) 30-minute mentoring calls with instructor at beginning and end of mentorship program
Dates: Bimonthly meetings Tuesdays 10am-12pm, September, 2020 – May, 2021 (and monthly peer-mentoring calls time TBD by participants)
The Clinical Track focuses on specific psychological diagnoses and treatment specific to mental health practitioners, and includes licensed or license-track psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental heath professionals. The Non-Clinical Track is open and relevant to an array of counselors, spiritual teachers/students, yoga teachers/therapists/studio owners, coaches, graduate students, and those who wish to use the material to support their spiritual growth, communities, and creativity. The groups meet both together as one group, and separately, throughout the program. Instructor will assign tracks after initial entry interview. Interviews begin in March, 2020.

LIVESTREAM COURSE | Yoga & Psyche: Processing Personal, Spiritual, and Collective Trauma and Regulating Your Nervous System in Challenging Times

August 29-30, 2020
Saturday & Sunday | 9 am–5:30 pm (PDT)
$350 | $299 by July 31
ONLINE WORKSHOP w/interactive participation via Zoom Conferencing.
We are living in a time of unprecedented collective, environmental, and global trauma, which inevitably also unearths our own individual traumas as wounds, as well as the deep presence of multigenerational racial, sexual, and spiritual/religious traumas across traditions and nations. It is a unique time in that nobody is exempt from “trauma” anymore, but we can learn to work with it effectively for healing, transformation, and joy. This training is designed to teach practical and potent tools for learning to regulate your own nervous system and trauma, as well as to support your loved ones, communities, workplaces, and finding balance in an imbalanced world.
Drawing from Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing™, a lifetime of study of Buddhist, yogic, and Jewish embodiment practices, neuroscience, depth psychology and somatic studies as a clinician, professor, researcher and author, and the great depths of the yoga tradition including but not limited to yoga asanas/posture, meditation, and breathwork.
Collectively and as a community, we will catalyze the positive impulse and desire to inquire, heal, evolve, and prevent unnecessary future trauma and suffering, and the endless repetition of common psychological blind-spots, by proactively educating ourselves, practicing, and learning to heal individually and collectively, and join part of a global community. We go toward the obscurations of our “endarkenment” joyfully, to uncover ever greater light!
This training will specifically focus on teaching three primary “jewels” and skillsets from Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing™ method: resourcing, titration, and pendulation. This is an all-level training – created uniquely for these global pandemic times.
All are welcome regardless of prior experience.
